Algiers Point is the second oldest neighborhood in New Orleans and has plenty of historic architecture throughout. It's known as a tight knit neighborhood with plenty of parks, pubs, live music and so much more. In 1993, the neighborhood was designated as a historic district and there are still some buildings from the 1840s in the Algiers Point neighborhood.
